Colesonn PLC was established in February 2005 as Virginia Surveys PLC. We officially changed our name to Colesonn PLC in 2008 due to a name conflict with a group in Chesterfield County, VA. We achieved our trademark in July 2008. The name Colesonn was derived from Mr. Sheehan's oldest son's name, Cole, to create a unique spelling for the trademark. In 2009, we moved our office to our current location, but continue to serve the Northern Virginia and Shenandoah Valley areas.

About Our Owner, Bart Sheehan
Mr. Sheehan has been working in the land surveying and engineering industries since 1996. He received his land surveying license in 2009. His apprenticeship was completed under two different surveyors. One of which a dual license as a professional land surveyor and engineer.
Upon completion of his apprenticeship and receipt of his surveying license, he assumed ownership of the company. Mr. Sheehan's strong background and practical knowledge in land and route surveying, along with construction stakeouts, allows him to provide clients with the comprehensive land surveying solutions they need.
